The Bread Crumbs located at the bottom of the Main Menu display the selected details, along with allowing you to easily navigate to a previous section.
The Session Type section of the Main Menu allows you to choose between Standalone and a Multi-User experience.
A singular standalone session with no connectivity options.
Choosing the Standalone option will skip to the Enter Session section and will bypass all of the un-necessary options required for a multi-user session.
A multi-user session that allows you to either host or join a LAN or Online session.
Choosing the Multi-User option will move forward to the Connection Method section.
The Connection Method section of the Main Menu allows you to choose which connection method you want.
The LAN connection method allows for you to host or join a session on your local area network. It is possible to connect to individuals remotely using a Public IP Address or through VPN.
​Steam is currently required to be downloaded, installed, and logged into for online connectivity.
The Online connection method allows you for to host or join a session via the Steam services.
The Connection Type section of the Main Menu allows you to choose between hosting and joining a session.
Choosing the Host option means that you'll be creating and hosting a LAN or Online session where other individuals will be connecting to your session.
Choosing the Join option means that you'll be joining a LAN or Online session that has been hosted by another individual.
The Connection Details section of the Main Menu displays key Host information, or allows you to input an IP(LAN) or Session Key(Online) to search for a hosted session.
The Session Key is 6-digit key that is used to join a session that matches that very key.
When a Online session is created, a Session Key is created and displayed to the Host. The Host must then provide that key to individuals looking to join that session.
The Host can find the Session Key in the Main Menu Connection Details section, and in the Network Tab in the Settings Menu.
The User Details section of the Main Menu is where you'll input details that'll help others identify you in the Multi-User session.
The name you wants others to identify you by. For example, your display name will be displayed in your Nameplate.
The color selected from the Palette option will be used as your Accent Color. The Accent Color will be the color that accents your avatar, tools, and UI.
The Enter Session section of the Main Menu is where you'll choose which device to enter the session in.
Clicking on an option will immediate enter you into the session
Choose the Desktop option to enter the session in Desktop mode.
Choose the VR option to enter the session in Virtual Reality mode.
